I created Digital Adoption Plans as a Digital Advisor with the federally funded Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) and a Digital Adoption Consultant with the provincially sponsored Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC). The funding for these programs is no longer available.
The CDAP Boost Your Business Technology Grant helped small and medium-sized businesses adopt new digital technologies by providing the following.
A free digital needs assessment (DNA) tool to evaluate their digital readiness.
Up to $15,000 to consult a Digital Advisor (like myself) and develop a Digital Adoption Plan.
Up to $100,000 in interest-free loans from the BDC to help implement the Digital Adoption Plan.
$7,300 in wage subsidies for each youth (18 - 30) hired to help execute the digital adoption plans.
The federal government of Canada funded the CDAP.
The Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP) program by the Digital Competence Centre (DCC) helped Ontario small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) understand their technology needs, guide their digital transformation decision-making, and optimize their technology investments. SMEs worked with a Digital Adoption Consultant (like myself) to generate a Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan tailored to their organization's digital needs. Eligible SMEs received up to $15,000 in reimbursement from the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) to develop a digital adoption plan.
The provincial government of Ontario sponsored the DMAP.
